Subtitle Export
Generate SRT/ASS subtitle files from your transcript, with multi-language and styling options.
Updated 7/31/2026
Subtitle Export uses the local Whisper transcript to generate subtitle files aligned to your audio timeline. You can use them directly for video publishing, platform uploads, or further editing.
Supported formats
- SRT: A widely compatible subtitle format supported by most video platforms and players.
- ASS: Supports custom fonts, positioning, and colors for more advanced styling.
Export options
- Language: Select the transcription model that matches your media. Chinese, English, and multilingual mixes are supported.
- Timing precision: Choose word-level, phrase-level, or sentence-level alignment based on your platform requirements.
- Line rules: Set the maximum characters per line and maximum display time to keep subtitles readable.
- Speaker labels: For multi-track media, subtitles can include speaker names if speaker identification was enabled during transcription.
Export workflow
- Wait for waveform and transcription analysis to finish in your project.
- Open the export settings and choose “Subtitle file”.
- Set the format, language, and styling options.
- Preview the subtitle timeline, then export.
Tips
- Before the final export, spot-check the first 30 seconds to confirm alignment.
- If the transcript contains many proper nouns or accents, consider manual proofing in the ASS file afterward.
- Exported subtitle files are saved separately from the project, making them easy to hand off to editors or operations teams.
